La carta di pietra, chiamata anche carta di roccia, carta minerale, carta sostenibile o carta ecologica, è un tipo di carta resistente e durevole realizzata in carbonato di calcio legato con polietilene ad alta densità (HDPE).
La carta di pietra non utilizza affatto pasta di legno e il processo di produzione non utilizza una goccia d'acqua, non vengono rilasciate acque reflue, gas di scarico e residui di rifiuti. La carta è riciclabile, il che è completamente diverso dalla normale carta di pasta di legno, e si vende molto bene in tutto il mondo.
Le borse tote in carta di pietra ecologiche, prive di alberi e riciclabili al 100% sono impermeabili e resistenti agli strappi: ideali per libri e oggetti pesanti, oltre che uniche per la loro sensazione morbida e liscia come la seta.
